Comming Soon! Sony Ericsson Xperia X12

Coming up to the Sony’s line up in 2011 is the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X12. This Smartphone will be powered by a second-generation Snapdragon chipset with an 800 MHz CPU, Some what like the T-mobile G2.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 will be getting hardware-supported 720p HD video recording as well as twice as fast GPU as the Xperia X10. Given it'll be running Android 2.1 as a bare minimum, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 will actually also take full advantage of the GPU, unlike the Xperia X10 models running Android 1.6. Given the Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 sports a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, 12-megapixel camera and a HDMI out port (plus the GPU with hardware-accelerated 3D gaming and video playback)

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 would really benefit from launching with Android 2.2, as it would provide a large set of much-needed smartphone functionality. According to Mobile-Review, that should happen though, so we can only hope they're right when it comes to that. We would go as far as saying that any Android phone to be released in 2011 should have Android 2.2 as a bare minimum, as it provides key smartphone functionality to mid-range as well as high-end devices.
