Job posting from HTC points to 3D and e-ink displays. Will this tell us about the future of the HTC Smartphones?

HTC have not officially announced to the public about the opening of a facility in Research Triangle Park, the North Carolina home to a long list of tech firms. But a recent job opening indicates that the OEM is staffing up their RTP offices. Specifically, HTC is seeking a Display and Camera Design Engineer. Most interesting is the bullet point list of desired qualities, which includes “Familiarity with multiple display technologies (TFT-LCD, PMOLED, AMOLED, E-ink, etc)” and “Familiarity with 3D display and imaging technologies.”

The successful job candidate will “lead the integration and evaluation of new display and camera technologies for next-generation mobile devices,” so this listing appears to be more revealing about what HTC is interested in terms of R&D than it is indicative about what types of products we could see in the next year from the #3 Smartphone maker in the US.

Will we see a new HTC Smartphone with 3d Screen and an Android OS of 2.3 or higher?
